Welcome to Lynda's 5 star Pet and Livestock

Sitting Services

My name is Lynda Melville-Parkinson and I have cared for pets and livestock for more than forty years. I started as a child and have had every conceivable pet since then. I married a farmer and we had a mixed animal farm until he retired due to ill health.

I have had many dogs mainly Maltese and Yorkies and my last one died in 2000. Not wanting to be tied to another fifteen years I started this business in 2006 instead. Now I am more tied than ever but loving it.

My home is in the heart of East Lothian and there are many long interesting walks here, from beaches, country parks, railway and woodland walks. I rarely walk a road.

My training as a nurse and farming has enabled me to cope with all sorts of animal illnesses. I have a keen interest in dog food, nutrition and have studied dog psychology. I am at present well into a dog behaviour practitioner course and I intend to offer behaviour modification and training on completion.

I offer a wide range of animal care services from home boarding dogs to visiting farms and holdings. I care for alpacas, pigs, sheep, goats, cows, chickens and farm dogs and cats as well as visiting your home to care for cats and other small family pets. I also home board small pets at my home too. It can be awkward to keep imposing on family and friends to care for them. I have cared for dogs from the Scottish Borders, Edinburgh, Midlothian and even Fife.

I am contactable 365 days a year and I am fully insured and licensed by the Council.

As a pet and livestock sitter I offer the owner peace of mind that your pets will be cared for in their absence. Dogs are home boarded in the comfort of my home.

Also - cats, small animals and livestock visited daily.
